Connection in December ... and beyond?

Over the past several months, we have been discussing what the future of this small group should look like ... Stu and I have been so blessed by our fellowship with each one of you, and it has not been an easy thing for us to decide (or discuss ;) But due to the life changes that many of us have gone through in the past few months (babies, new houses, new churches, new jobs ...), we feel that the need for fellowship and accountability has shifted from this group, to other groups that many of us are involved in. And this is a GOOD thing! Something we have been praying about, for each one of us!

As we shared with some of you recently. God has also put it on our hearts to get involved with Prison Ministry in the Lancaster Prison. Our application for prison access is being processed, so in the new year, we hope to start leading worship services there on a monthly or bimonthly basis. We would LOVE to have some of you be a part of this ministry as well, if you are interested. Please let us know!

We realize that this is a busy time of year, and in the past, small group has often taken a break between Thanksgiving and the New Year ... However, we would still love to see some of you! So we will plan to meet this coming Thursday, for a time of fun and fast food at the new Chick Filet (on Route 30) - at 5:30 pm, or after. And on Thursday, December 22nd (6pm), we would like to invite you all to our home for a special time of worship/caroling, prayer, and sharing. This will be our official last meeting as "Connection."

Know that we have so appreciated your friendship, your sharing and encouragement, and so much more ... We hope to stay connected, to EACH one of you, in the years to come!

Theme, schmeme - we'll have chili at Donna's! Bring something that goes with it...baked potatoes, chips, cornbread, pumpkin pie, apple crisp or something healthier even.

Yes, we are still here - since we cancelled the 8th. It will be good to see you all again. It will be Kate's last time joining us before she moves to Baltimore:(. We will have a special time of prayer for her. We are having stromboli with homemade marinara...bring something to shara. See you thera!

We will be at Kris' house in Akron and the theme is Asian food. We look forward to seeing you and hearing what God's been doing in your lives.

July 28 at Lancaster County Park

Join us this week at the Lancaster County Park. We'll meet in the parking lot just off route 222, south of Lancaster city. 6pm picnic dinner (bring your own sandwich and something to share) and 7pm sharing and prayer. Hope you can join us!

We are so excited to see all of you again! Join us this week for a cookout at the Silver Mine Park, at 6pm. We are bringing our grill, so the plan is to bring food that can be cooked on it - meat, bread, fruit, veggies ... be creative!

Due to our long time apart, we will plan to just have an extended time of sharing and prayer together, beginning at 7pm. Please take time this week to pray for each of the people in our group, and ask God for words of encouragement and scriptures that you can share, as we speak into each other's lives. Prepare to be uplifted! =)

NEW MEETING TIMES and this week at Laura Moyer's

We will be meeting at Laura Moyer's this week and from here on out will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. She is making Gado Gado (an indonesian taco salad). Google it and find something to bring to compliment it! Laura Metzler is sharing.
